I write confidentially for clients who need a sounding board, an additional layer of creative perspective, and strategies for bringing messages to life. It is a dream to co-create with individuals dedicated to their craft, honoring their inside voice, which knocks, seeks and asks for answers only the Spirit holds.
My first ghostwriting gig was in junior high school, for a fellow student running for Student Body President. His smile gleamed as he delivered the prose of promises written, while the crowd cheered. His charisma curtained by curly, blonde locks brushing his olive skin was captivating. His charming laughter accompanied handshakes and pats on the back, after the speech, from the kids who wanted soft drinks in the cafeteria, and more time in the halls as they scurried to teachers awaiting their arrival for classes, many.
As a little girl I envisioned attending college in Arizona to earn my Bachelor's Degree in the arts. I painted canvases of that landscape which hang on my walls today. Fast forward to me studying journalism and communication in the Sonoran desert, falling in love with the art of discovery and calling dreams to fruition. During my first speech in Business Communication class, I stuttered, I shook, and turned beet-red. I felt and could not stop the embarrassing flush. The students wrote critiques in squiggly-hand to show me how nervous I was; good times. Scottsdale Community College proved fertile ground where I became a Features Editor and the Advertising Director of our award-winning newspaper. I graduated from Arizona State University with my degree in Journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism under the tutoring minds of old-school, former newsroom, professors who required: respect, unbiased facts, unrelenting truth, and balance for all subjects and sides of a story. We were taught to be the watchdog for society, to explore, listen, study, find and report the truth. Truth marches forever, that's its purpose, beckoning us to call it forth, setting all free.
